Why the lighthouse
A lighthouse stands where someone already found the rocks, so the next person doesn't find them the hard way. This work is bigger than me. Keeping people safe on the journey takes many lights. I'm one keeper, and my writing is how I keep this light on for anyone who seeks it. Your experience can reach the places mine can't.

Who I am
I'm John Sharpe. I’ve led in many seats — military and civilian, with the title and without it, in nonprofits, on boards, and in the work between those roles. That includes my time as a Cyber Warfare Operator in the US Air Force, and years spent building teams and programs so others could lead without waiting on me.
I write about the parts of leading that stay invisible until you’re in the seat, and about leaving a clearer map for whoever comes next. Husband and father. Same person at work and at home.
